The MUL3 guided wave radar transmitter sends microwave pulses down a rod or cable probe and measures the reflection from the product surface. Because the signal is guided, it delivers ±3 mm accuracy regardless of temperature, pressure, density, vapor, dust or foam — and it can measure straight through foam layers.

Top mounting minimizes leak risk, and the probe principle works in small tanks, complex geometries and tanks with internal obstacles, as well as in existing bypass chambers. An echo-curve display makes commissioning with the four local keys straightforward.

FAQ

What accuracy does the MUL3 achieve?

±3 mm, with cable probes up to 30 m and rod probes up to 4 m, for media with dielectric constant above 1.6.

Can it measure interface as well as level?

Yes. Guided wave radar measures both the upper surface and the interface between two liquids in the same tank.

Does foam or vapor disturb the measurement?

No. The guided signal is largely unaffected by foam, vapor, dust or turbulence, and can even measure through a foam layer.
