The MFC1 combines a micro metal tube float flow meter with a constant-flow control valve. When system pressure or load changes, the valve automatically holds the set purge flow constant — the basis of reliable bubbler level measurement and instrument purging.

Two control arrangements cover both cases: the RE type with the valve upstream suits constant outlet pressure or vented service, while the RA type downstream suits constant inlet pressure. Local indication plus a regulating valve make commissioning and routine adjustment simple.

FAQ

What is the MFC1 used for?

It supplies a constant purge flow to bubbler level systems and to transmitter tapping points in refining, chemical, ethylene, fertilizer, steel and fiber plants, preventing clogging and back-diffusion of corrosive gases.

RE or RA type — which one?

Choose RE (valve upstream) when outlet pressure is constant or the line vents to atmosphere; choose RA (valve downstream) when inlet pressure is constant. For liquid service both behave the same.

What flows can it control?

Water from 3 to 25,000 L/h and air from 50 NL/h to 800 Nm3/h across the MFC16 and MFC10 (DN10–DN50) versions.
